A school walking club, a student recording studio and materials to help students regulate through nature are among the 12 proposals totaling $12,537 that were awarded a 2024 Fall Grant from the Westerville Education Foundation (WEF). 

Westerville South High School senior Charlotte Hatfield has completed a feat no other member of Westerville’s Class of 2025 has done this year: She earned a college degree before her high school diploma.

Throughout the district, Westerville students and staff have raised thousands of dollars, collected hundreds of donations to support families in need during the holidays. 

Westerville North High School’s annual Chem Gems Sale will feature a new item this year: “can” candles — soda cans filled with wax that smell like the drinks.

Choir and orchestra students at Westerville South High School will perform contemporary and classic holiday music selections as part of its Sounds of the Season concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the high school auditorium, 303 S. Otterbein Ave.

College was always the goal for Westerville South High School senior Xiao Li and Westerville North High School senior Assiatou Diallo. As prospective first-generation college students from immigrant families, both knew they needed financial support to take pressure off their families.
